JEE Main 2027 Overview
JEE Main 2027 is the national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced 2027 (IIT admission). - Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2025 or 2026, or appearing in 2027, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/technical vocational subject.
- No age limit for JEE Main — but institutes may have their own age criteria.
- You can attempt JEE Main in three consecutive years, with both sessions in a year counting as one attempt for eligibility purposes.
- For NIT/IIIT/GFTI admission: at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) or a place in the top 20 percentile of your board.
